Origin
The face was created for used on Cheat Engine Forums, an open source game modifier. Chris Farral made the faces' first production image available on August 10, 2010. The earliest known rage comic featuring "NO." was created on December 5, 2010.

"YES." is a photoshopped version of "NO.", and is used to show approval for one's opinions or appproval for someone. It has also been used to show someone is being clever or plotting, as seen a certain rage comic.
