Origin
On January 23, 2012, the very first Bad Luck Brian was uploaded to the meme generating site, Quickmeme. The captions were "Takes driving test/Gets first DUI" It was then reposted to Reddit, where is recieved only 5 upvotes. Later the same day, another Bad Luck Brian was created, captioned "Tries to fart stealthily in class/Shits" The post reached the front page of /r/adviceanimals and recieved 3,300 upvotes in 3 months.
Trivia
- Brian isn't the real name of the boy in the meme. It is Kyle.
- The "Bad Luck Brian" image is a bad year book photo from when Kyle was in 7th grade.
- Ironically, Kyle has relativley good luck in his life, yet his meme, "Brian" has terrbile luck. Example of Kyle's good luck: Kyle once won an XBox360 and a PSP within 2 weeks.
